Born (1952) and raised in Chicago, Professor Einbinder has taught law courses at The American University of Paris since 1979. Einbinder is a member of the Bar of the State of Illinois and聽 practiced law in Paris, principally as an in-house lawyer for over 25 years culminating as General Counsel of Alstom where he was in charge of a 225 worldwide legal team. Since his retirement from Alstom, he also teaches comparative and international law at Paris 11, ESSEC and HEAD.

Einbinder鈥檚 professional and research interests focus on US and international business law and comparative law. He is particularly interested in extraterritoriality, class actions, comparative contract and criminal law, public-private partnerships and anti-corruption efforts.
