We鈥檙e saddened听by the recent attack in Atlanta听that killed听eight听people, six of听whom听were听Asian听or Asian American women.听Since the beginning of the pandemic,听Asian Americans听and Pacific Islanders in the U.S. have听faced听a rise in harassment and violence.听We want to show our solidarity and compassion to the families of the victims:听听

While this attack occurred in the US last week, we also听reflect on听the听Asian communities听here in France since the beginning of the听pandemic.听We听know听that听some of you听have faced this听prejudice听while living here. Faculty, staff, and students have told us that they鈥檝e been spat on听or听told to go听back 鈥渉ome.鈥澨齏e want you to know that we鈥檙e here for you.听
