In this inaugural conference for our second edition of the graphic novel Festival (FESTIVAL BD), (“La BD dans le Tumulte de l’Histoire: Résistances, Révolutions”), Sara Lomuscio will introduce (in english) the captivating realm of graphic storytelling and its profound impact on historical narratives. She will then share her personal journey of creating a graphic novel chronicling her great-uncle's resistance against Italy's fascist regime, detailing the meticulous research process and how to honor her ancestor's legacy.

Exploring the concrete steps of crafting a graphic novel, from concept to final touches, Sara Lomuscio will illuminate the intricate process of bringing history to life on the page, emotion, evidently, emerging as a crucial element in portraying personal histories through graphic storytelling.
