Inspired by the #METOO movement in early November and encouraged by the devoted clubs at AUP, the Gen*Sex Club, AUP4CONSENT, the Creative Writing Club, and the ¹ú²úÈý¼¶Æ¬SGA have come together to offer the student body a whole week to expose the unique issues women face in today’s society, empower individuals to work towards social change, and inspire action!
Please join us on Monday 19th to hear a guest speaker from le "Collectif: Feminists contre le cyber harcèlement" (feminists against cyber-bullying) for a lively discussion about their activism against online sexual harassment, in an effort to bridge the gap between ¹ú²úÈý¼¶Æ¬and the world of activism in Paris. Feminists against Cyber-bullying is an intersectional feminist organization that aims to shed light on online cyber bullying as well as inform and guide victims. They are excellent speakers, they are informed in matters concerning revenge porn laws on French talk shows, and they are also speak at universities.  "Our collective is made up of about thirty young feminists, mostly Afro-descendants and of North African origin - who are most often victims of stalkers."  We will have roughly six representatives – including a therapist.Â
This event will be in French, and translated in English.Â
This event is organized by the Gen*Sex club and the Gender and Sexuality Studies senator.
