芦 African migrants are sleepwalking into Libya鈥檚 slave markets 禄- (Headline, Independent News)

If this title rings a bell, you have probably heard about the recent scandal in Libya, where black african migrants are being sold as slaves. While slavery was abolished in 1848, there still exists a modern form of it, often referred to as human trafficking.

As a conclusion to the Black History Month, the Inspire Africa club invites you to a student-led debate to discuss the topics of slavery and human trafficking in Libya, starting from the sources of the phenomenon up until the recent endeavors.

Join us on Thursday Feb 22 in C103 from 17:45 to 20:00. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
